How to perform Istikhara

1. 1. Make the intention (niyyah).
2. 2. Recite Surat al-Tawhid (al-Ikhlas), three times.
3. 3. Say “O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad”, three times.
4. 4. Say “Astaghfirullah” (I seek Allah’s forgiveness), three times.
5. 5. Recite the following supplication:O Allah, I seek Your choice and Your counsel, for You know how all matters end. O Allah, if there is good for me in it, make it easy for me; and if there is harm for me in it, keep me away from it — by Your mercy, O Most Merciful of the merciful.
